Led by his love of the ocean and his passion for surfing, Australian-born artist Pete Tillack was drawn on an adventurous seven-year journey around the world.

Living and participating in the many diverse communities he visited, Tillack encountered countless cultures and lifestyles that helped him became more aware of his own self-explorations, direction and personal growth.

He draws upon these experiences in creating his art. His work has been heavily influenced by his travels and surroundings.

“The goal with my work is to bring the viewer to that stolen moment of time where they escape their present surroundings and conditions... it is an active meditation.”

Tillack’s technical analysis of shadows and highlights give his paintings a depth that draws the viewer into the works and lures them into an experience, transcending them to a peaceful disposition - their own personal journey.
